Friends Always

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

This is a simple little card where the Woodware Memories Stamp (back in stock on my website) does all the work for you. I inked up the centres of the stamps on the stamp (lol that sounds weird - hopefully you get what I mean) with Chic Pumpkin Colour Cloud applied using a Smoothie. I added Chic Aubergine Colour Cloud to the remainder of the stamp and stamped onto Coconut White Card.

Once the ink was dry, I inked around the edges with Chic Aubergine Colour Cloud. I distressed the edges with my scissors (I've just gor hold of a Woodware tool to do that! yay!) and inked a little more with Chic Aubergine Colour Cloud. I matted onto Black Card and then onto a Coconut White Card blank.

I stamped the sentiment from the Woodware Bubble Bloom : Curly Sue Stamp Set onto Coconut White Card using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Black Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Sue Wilson's Stitched Flags and inked around the edges with Chic Aubergine. I cut the next sized die in the set out of Black Card. I tied a knot in a little piece of Black Satin Ribbon and popped it at the edge of my sentiment.

I finished my card off by adding a 5mm Black Pearl to each corner of my background.

John Lockwood is continuing with his One Day Special on Hochanda today with shows at 9am, 12noon, 4pm and 7pm. I'm offering 10% discount on items I have in stock on my website from the shows. You can find them here. Offer applies till midnight tonight or while stocks last. Discount will be applied at checkout.

Thanks for stopping by.

With Love

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

For my woven background, I used one of the stamps from the Justrite Playful Painted Trio Stamp Set. I stamped in several times onto Coconut White Card using CS Colour Clouds - in Frosted Aqua, Lilac Whisper, Baked Peach, Summer Sky and Frosted Aqua again. I made sure the ink was dry and cut Sue Wilson's Classic Weaving Die into it.

I cut Sue's Striped Weaving Die out of Aqua, Lilac, Peach and Sky Blue Card. I cut them into pairs of strips and wove them through the Classic die cut. There are plenty of strips left to make another 2 - 3 backgrounds.

I made a frame out of Coconut White Card using dies #2 and #4  out of Sue's Scalloped Lattice Frames Set B. I added it to my background using 3D  Foam Tape and trimmed away the excess using scissors.

I cut a couple of leaves out of Aqua Card using Sue's Trailing Ivy Die Set.

I made a flower out of Sky Blue and Custard Card using Sue's Striped Nasturtium Die Set. For the centre of the flower, I cut one of Sue's Dandelion Clocks Dies out of Lilac Card and added an 8mm White Pearl.

I stamped the sentiment from the Woodware Blooming Heart Stamp Set onto Coconut White Card using Watering Can Archival. I cut it out using die #1 from Sue's Classic Adorned Rectangles. I cut die #2 from the same set out of Aqua Card.

I finished my card bu adding a couple of mats of Coconut White Card and a 5mm White Pearl to the corners of my frame.

John Lockwood is launching a One Day Special on Hochanda this evening with some Spellbinders dies. I'm offering 10% discount on items I have in stock on my website from the shows. You can find them here. Offer applies till midnight tomorrow night or while stocks last. Discount will be applied at checkout.

Best Wishes for Your Birthday

Hi Bloggers.

Hope you enjoyed the shows on Hochanda. I'm heaading up to the West Midlands to see my Mom for her birthday today so please be patient if you ordered from my website over the past few days - I will post as many orders as I can tomorrow. Sorry for running out of stock of many of the stamps, my laptop through a wobbly and I couldn't get on it to order any extra stock. 😒 I'll try and order some more today but many of the stamps are out of stock at CE. I do have a few stamps from the shows still available here.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I sprinkled some CS Aqua Lagoon Pixie Powder onto a piece of Copy Paper. I pressed the Woodware Memories Stamp into the powder, spritzed with water and stamped onto Coconut White Card. I repeated this 3 more times to cover my card. I edged with Chic Aubergine Colour Cloud using a Smoothie. I matted onto Black Card and popped onto a Card Blank.

I spritzed a piece of Coconut White Card with water. I sprinkled Aqua Lagoon and Aubergine Dream CS Pixie Powders over and put aside to dry. Once dry, I dusted with an Anti-Static Bag. I stamped the Woodware Love Collage Stamp using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Black Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it into 3 sections and matted each section onto Black Card.

I stamped the sentiment from the Woodware Hand Drawn Sentiments Stamp Set onto another piece of my Pixie background, again using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with Black Detail Powder. I cut it out using Sue Wilson's Double Pierced Rectangles Set B and a mat out of Black Card using Sue's Double Pierced Rectangles.

I finished my card by adding a 5mm Black Pearl to the corners of my background.

Thanks for stopping by.

Woodware One Day Special Shows continue today

Hi Bloggers.

One Day Special Shows continue today at 9am, 12noon, 4pm and 7pm - but will the stock last?We shall see! Hope you can join me.

I have a final two-fer for you today with a birdy theme.

Here's your first card -

I started by stamping the Woodware Old Letter Stamp onto Coconut White Card using Jet Black Archival. I made sure the ink was dry and then dusted with my Anti-Static Bag. I stamped the Woodware Special Bird using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Black Detail Embossing Powder. I coloured in using Pixie Powders. I used Straw Yellow, Burnt Orange, Lava Red and Emerald Green with a little Midnight Sky Mixer to make a darker green. I edged the piece with Chic Pumpkin Colour Cloud using a Smoothie and matted onto Black Card.

I stamped one of the sentiments that come with the Special Bird into the bottom right-hand corner of another piece of Coconut White Card. I edged the piece with Chic Pumpkin, matted onto Black Card and then onto a Coconut White Card blank.

Here's your second card -

For the background, I stamped the Woodware Splatters Stamp onto Bright White Card twice using Coffee Archival. I matted onto Chestnut Card and wrapped some Jute Twine around.

I stamped the main image from the Woodware Owl Love Stamp Set onto another piece of Bright White Card using a Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. I also stamped one of the sentiments from the set. I coloured in using Graphmaster Pens. For the left-hand owl, I used 36, 104 and 101 with WG1 in the eyes and 37, 32 and 24 for the beak. For the right-hand owl, I used 103, 93 and 96 with WG1 in the eyes and 37, 32 and 24 for the beak. I used 100, 102 and 98 for the branch and 48, 59 and 47 for the leaves.

I scribbled around the edges using a Brown Pigma Micron Pen and matted the piece onto Chestnut Card.

I finished my card by adding a 5mm White Pearl to the corners of my background.

Hope you can catch the shows today.

Woodware One Day Special on Hochanda this evening

Hi Bloggers.

In case you don't know, I'm launching a One Day Special on Hochanda this evening at 8pm with some fabulous Woodware Stamps. I am so excited that Woodware are now part of the Creative Expressions family and that I get to do the first shows since they joined the family. I tried to choose a good cross section of stamps for the shows, sadly I couldn't bring all my favourites (far too many!) but I hope you love the selection as much as I do.

I have another three-fer for you today! With a flowery theme.

Here's your first card -

I started by spritzing a piece of Coconut White Card with water. I sprinkled with CS Straw Yellow Pixie Powder and put aside to dry. Once dry, I dusted with an Anti-Static Bag and stamped the Woodware Cone Flower using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Black Detail Embossing Powder.

I coloured in using Pixie Powders. I added a little Straw Yellow to a Palette and added some water to make a paint. I used this to colour the petals on the flowers. I then added a little Midnight Sky Mixer to the Straw Yellow to make a brown and coloured the centres of the flowers. I added a little Emerald Green Pixie Powder to another well in the Palette and added water to make a paint. I mixed in a little Midnight Sky Mixer Pixie Powder to make a darker green and used it to colour the leaves. I cut around the frame and matted onto Black Card.

I stamped the sentiment from the Woodware Into the Woods Stamp Set using Clear Perfect Medium in the bottom left-hand side of a piece of Coconut White Card. I added CS Black Detail Embossing Powder and heat set. I matted this onto Black Card and then onto a Coconut White Card blank.

Here's your second card -

This card features the Woodware Tulip Patch. This stamp lends itself to paper piecing really well. I've stamped it onto a piece of Coconut White Card using Jet Black Archival and cut it out using Sue Wilson's Double Pierced Squares Set B. I stamped it onto some patterned papers from Phill Martin's Blossom 8 x 8 Paper Pad. I cut the pieces out and glued them onto the plain stamped image. I cut another Double Pierced Square out of the plain side of a paper from Phill's paper pad and popped bith layers onto a Coconut White Card blank.

On the inside of my card, I stamped one of the sentiments from the Woodware Hand Drawn Sentiments Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival.

Here's your third card -

For the background, I inked up the Woodware Old Letter Stamp with Chic Pumpkin, Chic Magenta and Chic Aubergine Colour Clouds applied using Smoothies. I stamped into Coconut White Card and inked around the edges with Chic Aubergine.

I made sure the ink was dry and then dusted with an Anti-Static Bag. I stamped the main image from the Woodware Bubble Flower : Curly Sue Stamp Set using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Black Detail Embossing Powder.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Black Detail Powder. I matted onto Black Card and then onto a Coconut White Card blank.

I added CS PVA in Chic Magenta, Chic Aubergine and Chic Magenta to the circles on the stamped image.

I'm offering 10% discount on items I have in stock from the shows. You can find them here. Offer applies till midnight tomorrow night or while stocks last. Discount will be applied at checkout. Please be patient with me this week - I will try and drop some orders off at the Post Office on my way out today but I won't be able to get any more orders off till probably Wednesday as I'm obviously at the studios tomorrow and Tuesday is my Mom's birthday so I'm heading off to see her on that day. Many apologies if your order is delayed.

I've loaded photos of the samples I've made to the Gallery Section of this Blog and to my Julia Watts Crafts Facebook Page.

See you later.

Saturday Sneak Peek

Hi Bloggers.

Another Sneak Peek for you today from tomorrow night's One Day Special on Hochanda. Another two-fer but I have different stamps on each card today or I won't get through all the stamps by Monday!

Here's your first card -

I love the simplicity of this card - sometimes less is more. For the background, I spritzed a piece of Coconut White Card with water, sprinkled Emerald Green CS Pixie Powder over and put aside to dry. Once dry, I dusted with an Anti-Static Bag. I stamped the sentiment from the Woodware Blooming Heart Stamp Set in the top left hand corner using Clear Perfect Medium and added CS Black Detail Embossing Powder. I then stamped one of the images from the Woodware Small Fennel Stamp Set 3 times, again using Clear Perfect Medium, added Black Detail Powder and heat set the lot. I matted onto Black Card and a popped onto a Coconut White Card blank. Job done!

Here's your second card -

For the background, I started by dusting a piece of Coconut White Card with an Anti-Static Bag. I stamped the Woodware Memories Stamp using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS True White Detail Embossing Powder. I added CS Chic Aubergine Colour Cloud to the kind of location stamped sections using a Smoothie, added Chic Magenta Colour Cloud around those and then finally Chic Pumpkin Colour Cloud around the edges. I spritzed some water into my hands and clapped over. I blotted off with a piece of kitchen towel. I edged with Chic Aubergine Colour Cloud and matted onto Black Card.

I wrapped some Black Jute Twine around it and added to a Coconut White Card blank.

I stamped the sentiment from the Woodware Hand Drawn Sentiments Stamp Set onto Coconut White Card using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS True White Detail Embossing Powder. I coloured with the Colour Clouds and added water splats as before. I matted onto Black Card and added to my background using CE Mounting Cushion.

I completed my card by adding a 5mm Black Pearl to each corner.

Thanks for stopping by.

Friday Sneak Peek

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's Sneak Peek (another two-fer) mainly featuring the Woodware Into the Woods Stamp Set designed by Jane Gill and the Woodware Old Letter Stamp designed by Francoise Read.

For the background, I misted a piece of Coconut White Card with water and sprinkled Aubergine Dream Pixie Powder. Once dry, I stamped the Woodware Old Letter Stamp using Jet Black Archival. I made sure it was 100% dry and dusted with an Anti-Static Bag. I stamped the Woodware Into the Woods stamp using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Black Detail Embossing Powder. I matted onto Black Card and popped onto a Coconut White Card blank.

I stamped the sentiment which comes in the Into the Woods onto Coconut White Card using Jet Black Archival and cut out using die #1 from Sue Wilson's Classic Adorned Rectangles Die Set. I cut #2 from the same set out of Black Card. I glued these 2 die cuts together and popped them inside my card. I stamped one of the stamps from the Woodware Small Fennel Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival.

Here's your 2nd card -

For the background, I spritzed a piece of Coconut White Card with water. I sprinkled over Straw Yellow and Burnt Orange Pixie Powders. While still wet, I moved the powders over the card using a Brush to create a wash. Once dry, I stamped the Woodware Old Letter Stamp using Chic Pumpkin Colour Cloud applied using a Smoothie. I also stamped the Woodware Splatters stamp using Chic Pumpkin (although my stamp still had some Sienna Archival on it so it came out a bit darker - happy accident!). I made sure it was 100% dry and then stamped the Into the Woods Stamp using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Gold Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it out using die#4 from Sue's Classic Adorned Rectangles Die Set. I drew around the same die onto a piece of Black Card and cut it out using scossors to create a faux mat.

I dusted a piece of Coconut White Card with an Anti-Static Bag. I added Clear Perfect Medium to a Brayer and used it to ink up the #5 die in the same set. I popped this onto the dusted side of my card with the #6 die from the set and ran it through my Spellbinders Platinum Machine. The ink transferred to the deboss design. I added CS Gold Detail Embossing Powder and heat set. I drew around the #6 die in the set onto Black Card and cut it out using scissors to create a faux mat. I popped this onto Coconut White Card, then Black Card and then onto a Coconut White Card blank. I popped an 8mm Black Pearl into the corners.

I stamped the sentiment that is with the Into the Woods stamp onto a scrap of my background using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Gold Detail Powder. I cut it out using die #1 from the same set and die#2 out of Black Card.

Hope you've enjoyed this sneak peek - there'll more another tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by.
